The Artworks (Product & Process)
Yes. We do not sell machine-generated prints or transfers. Every single artwork offered on MutoArt is a genuine, original creation, hand-painted by professional artists using archival-grade oil paints on canvas.
A print is simply a flat, mass-produced image with no physical texture. An original oil painting from MutoArt possesses authentic depth, texture, and visible brushstrokes that you can feel. Each piece is unique.
Yes, customization is possible. Since every piece is painted upon order, we can adjust colors or details to better suit your decor. Please email your specific instructions to info@mutoart.com immediately after ordering so we can brief the artist.
Production time varies depending on the size and complexity of the artwork, as well as the drying time required for oil paint layers. generally, a single piece takes anywhere from several days to a few weeks to be artistically perfected.
We operate on a made-to-order basis to ensure authenticity. We do not keep a warehouse of pre-painted stock; your painting is created specifically for you once your order is placed.
Because we do not rely on pre-printed stock, every canvas is cut and painted specifically for your order. This allows us to offer a wide range of dimensions and ensures that you are receiving a freshly created, original work of art rather than a stored product.

Our paintings come with hanging hardware installed according to the orientation shown on the website. However, if the composition allows, we can adjust the mounting system for you. Please contact us prior to ordering if you wish to change the hanging orientation.
We utilize professional-grade, artist-quality oil paints and high-density primed cotton canvas. This ensures the longevity of the colors. All canvases are gallery-wrapped over sturdy wooden stretcher bars.

Processing Time: Please allow 5-9 business days for us to carefully prepare, varnish, and package your artwork(including artwork creation time).
Shipping Time: Shipping to the US/CA typically takes 5-10 days via FedEx, DHL, TNT, or UPS Express. You will receive a tracking number once it ships.
*Please note that the above time range does not include delays caused by uncontrollable factors (such as natural disasters, flight delays, etc.)
All paintings are shipped after painting, framing, and quality inspection are completed. All paintings come with free 100% insurance coverage.
We take extreme care in packaging. Your painting is wrapped in protective glassine paper, cushioned with bubble wrap, fitted with corner guards, and shipped in a custom-reinforced cardboard box to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
You will receive a tracking number via email once your painting has finished the drying process, passed quality inspection, and been handed over to the courier. If you ordered a framed piece, the courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS) may also contact you with updates.
Once the painting is completed, the tracking code will be redirected to you, and you will be able to see an updated tracking report in the system.
If you ordered a framed painting, DHL/FEDEX/UPS will reach out to the email or phone number you registered with us.
They will give you the ETA.
In case you have not received shipment tracking information, send us an email at info@mutoart.com, and we will share tracking details with you as soon as possible.
If the tracking link is invalid or not updating, please contact our support team at info@mutoart.com. We will coordinate with the logistics department to provide you with the correct status.
Yes. For international shipments, orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees once they arrive in the destination country. These charges are not included in our price and are the responsibility of the recipient.
Returns & Refunds
We offer a 30-Day Return Policy for original paintings starting from the date of delivery. The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
Defects: We cover shipping for damaged or defective items.
Change of Mind: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs if the return is due to personal preference.
Custom Orders: Custom commissions are final sale unless damaged upon arrival.
In the unlikely event of damage during transit, please email info@mutoart.com immediately with clear photos of the damaged artwork and the box. We will arrange for a repair, a replacement, or a full refund depending on the severity of the issue.
I've changed my mind or I don't like the artwork anymore... What can I do?

For any reason, if you don't like the painting you received, you can return it in its original package and condition within 30 days of receipt.

Please contact our customer support team via email to request a return authorization. Returns sent back without prior approval cannot be accepted.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item:
Processing: We process the refund within 3 business days.
Funds Availability: PayPal refunds appear within 3 business days. Credit card refunds typically take up to 10 business days to reflect on your statement.

The process typically takes 4-8 weeks from consultation to final delivery, allowing time for creation, reviews, and proper drying/varnishing.
Yes. For custom orders, we share "work-in-progress" photos at key stages. This allows you to provide feedback and ensures the final result meets your expectations.

Cleaning: Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or microfiber cloth.
Placement: Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme heat sources (like fireplaces) to prevent fading or warping.
No. Never use water, solvents, or chemical cleaners on an oil painting. These can dissolve the paint or damage the varnish. If deep cleaning is needed, consult a professional art conservator.
